About Our Organization
The Apartment Association of Greater Wichita (AAGW) is a trade association, representing over 16,000 apartment homes, which provides owners, managers and suppliers with a constructive force through which we work together for the betterment of the multi-family housing industry. We are an active member of the National Apartment Association (NAA), the only national organization soley representing the apartment industry. Through these affiliations, this association seeks to protect your interests on the national level as well as state and local levels. As the united voice of apartment owners, managers and suppliers, the association exerts maxiumum effort toward our common purpose.
Our Mission Statement
To act as coordinator and spokesman on all issues of mutual interest to the apartment industry.
To serve as the legislative representative for apartment owners, managers, and suppliers on local, state and national legislative matters.
To collect and disseminate information pertaining to apartment operations.
To promote integrity and sound business methods and services.
To promote the advantages and enjoyment of apartment living.
To create, advance and maintain good relations between the apartment industry, suppliers and the general public.
Legislative Committee
Through the Legislative Committee, AAGW is keeping members apprised of proposed changes in the law that will directly affect property management. Continuous monitoring of various legislative issues in Kansas is a priority. Lobbying efforts are facilitated at all levels including local, state and federal, through the support from AAGW and the National Apartment Association. This network, along with Political Action Committees, help drive decision-making in the legislature on issues affecting the multi-family industry. |
